A Teton Wild Woman in May

Delighting in the slight warmth of the on and off again sun today, our adventures continue. We had a mild winter this year, yet the snow continues here and there. Spring is alive and well here in the Teton Valley as new plants continue to emerge and say hello once again:)

Olivia and I decided to drum and look for plants today near the Gros Ventre and Grand Teton park. Wildlife is coming back home for the warm months and the energy of town is vibrant when once again tourists come all over to feed their souls the magic of our valley.

Watch where you step.

Lomatium triternatum with its graceful leaves and yellow umbels. I am certain in other parts of the valley Lomatium dissectum is up, but have not seen it yet.

The valley weather changes so rapidly here from one minute

To the next

Oregon Grape is blooming

And Lupine is back and getting ready to show her beauty

The antelope play

And the moose are skinny as are the buffalo compared to what they will look like when they need to migrate again for winter.

Taking a break to watch the wildlife and take in the beauty of the sun hiding and revealing itself all day

Blessings on our land, the people, and all who come for the refuge they need.
